The most promising origin of lead compounds are medicinal plants that plays a vital role in the discovery of noble drugs. Moreover, the medicinal plants derived bioactive compounds are considered as the raw materials for the discovery of new drugs. So, my research interest is to identify qualitatively various phytochemical groups including flavonoids, tannins, volatile oils, alkaloids, glycosides, etc. responsible for different pharmacological activities and to determine the quantity of phenolic compounds present in plant extract.
